Livestock producers, Feed Additive companies and researchers can use the QuantiBiom™ diagnostic panel to obtain data about the microbiome fermentation activity. The data help uncover the impact of the feed additives and nutritional changes on microbial activity, intestinal functions and further on performance.
How does it work?
QuantiBiom™ determines the density and metabolic activity of the total microbiome. You can deliver samples from non-invasive procedures (feces) or other gut compartments samples. Collect the samples using our BioFreeze™ kit or send us frozen samples.
What do we measure?
Total bacterial quantity is a useful indicator of microbial load, but it should be interpreted alongside microbiota composition and functional activity. QuantiBiom™ focuses on overall microbial density and carbohydrate-linked fermentation activity through VFA-L and BCFA, while deeper protein fermentation quality can be assessed separately with Protein Fermentation Products or Biogenic Amines + Ammonia when needed.
