How does it work?
Calprotectin is a host-derived protein released by neutrophils or heterophils during inflammation and can be quantified in feces as a non-invasive marker of intestinal immune activation.
We typically analyze feces, but intestinal samples (digesta/mucosa) can also be used in controlled studies.
