We launch Shared Broiler Trials: An easy-access model for feed additive testing

Feed additive producers know all too well how data-driven their market is – and how costly proper feeding trials are. Radically reducing costs might seem impossible since you need at least one control and one treatment group, often requiring booking the full slot at the trial facility. But we’ve found a solution!
What if you could test the performance of a prospective feed ingredient without investing excessive time and money? Our innovative approach to cutting trial costs is simple: sharing. You share the costs, but not the data. Now, you can participate with just a single treatment group.

OUR CONCEPT
• Control treatment and fixed costs will be shared between participants
• 35–42-day performance trial with broiler chicks
• Price includes performance data (Weight gain, feed consumption, FCR, and mortality) of your treatment, and statistical comparison against the control will be analysed
• Tissue, blood, and digesta samples can be collected at various time points for subsequent analysis in the Alimetircs laboratory or external facilities.
• Final report will be delivered within two weeks from the end of the trial

How to participate in trial(s)?
• Contact us via research@alimetrics.com or get in touch with your contact person at Alimetrics
• Deliver the test substance to Alimetrics, following the instructions received

Want to get more data from the same treatment?
Yes, you can also go beyond performance data in this trial model. With Alimetrics, you have access not only to our trial facilities but also to our in-depth expertise. Strengthen the positioning of your feed additive by presenting mode-of-action data that highlight its microbiological or physiological effects alongside conventional performance results.
We can take care of the sampling and analysis – within the same treatment run. Contact us to discuss the options for getting more data from the same treatment.

Additional package: Sampling and analyses upon request
• Sampling for tissues and intestinal contents on different time points
• Microbiological and chemical analysis of intestinal contents
• Analysis of the tissue samples for immunological and physiological parameters
