How does it work?
QuantiBiom determines the density and metabolic activity of the total microbiome. You can deliver samples from non-invasive procedures (feces) or other gut compartments samples. Collect the samples using our BioFreeze™ kit or send us frozen samples.
What do we measure?
Total bacterial quantity is a useful indicator of gut microbial health, but it should be analyzed alongside bacterial diversity, composition, and functional activity to provide a comprehensive understanding of gut health. Microbial fermentation is the most significant function for animal nutrition results in short-chain fatty acid production (SCFAs), which play an essential role in supporting gut health and feed utilization.
